About The Site

Not too long ago, I found myself sitting out by the pool (on a Tuesday afternoon) next to an out-of-work lawyer and an out-of-work website developer… and it dawned on me:

This job market is messed up.

And so I thought, why not make the most of a bad situation? With UberEmployable.com, we’re trying to achieve a few simple goals that are sorely sought after by the unemployed right now:

  • Showcase talented professionals to help them gain exposure
  • Provide advice to the unemployed so they can maximize opportunities
  • Give employers a talent pool to utilize when trying to find capable candidates

What we’re mainly looking to do here is post profiles of what we’re calling the “UberEmployables”: highly talented and experienced individuals who’ve found themselves out of work, and can’t seem to break through the piles of resumes to get the attention of potential employers. If our site can help someone get hired, or at least noticed – well, we figure that’s good karma.
